Maillardet's drawing and writing automaton

Kingdom of Great Britain · Humanoid

Around 1800 in London, the Swiss mechanic Henri Maillardet built an automaton in the form of a boy that can draw four pictures and write three poems. It has the largest “memory” of all such machines and today belongs to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. [1][2]
